Bombshell Turtle by Castalia Outdoors

In preparation for ICAST, I sat down and paged through the dozen upon dozens of emails that I received from exhibitors preparing to showcase this year.  One of the press releases that stood out in my mind as I made my way through isles and isles of products was the introduction of the Bombshell Turtle by Castalia Outdoors.

I think that the reason this product stood out in my mind is that I can’t recall any other soft plastic turtles on the market.  With that said, I do certainly see plenty of turtles on the water while kayak fishing.

Could it be true that bass really hate juvenile turtles and that after decades of hardcore bass fishing no one else in the industry has thought of this?

Below is a quote from the press release that I received:

"Aggressiveness by largemouth bass toward juvenile turtles has been well documented for more than 35 years in films featuring largemouth bass behavior - bringing many to ask, what took so long to make the lure?"

Below are a couple of photos that I took from the New Product Showcase at the 2011 ICAST.
