Steve Gibson,is a Florida native, born and raised in Sarasota. Steve has fished all over the state of Florida and has not found anywhere better than the Sarasota/Tampa Bay area. He has experienced many different types of fishing from fresh water Bass fishing to deep dropping & trolling in the Bahamas. Working as a Firefighter/EMT has allowed him the freedom to fish on a regular basis and explore the ins and outs of this sport. I guess you can say that he has a passion for fishing and the knowledge and patience to lend advice and share techniques with  new or experienced anglers.

At Shallow Pockets Fishing we specialize in light tackle/fly fishing for Snook,Trout,Redfish and Tarpon. You will learn what to look for when stalking fish on the flats, how to fish backcountry waters & how to find fish off our beautiful beaches. Also when & how to use different artificial baits. Our goal is to provide you with a great outdoor experience!
