Great customer support!

With the tough economic times, it seems good deals and more importantly good customer service has become more increasingly hard to find. Well, there's good news. I found a company that went way above what I had expected. That company is BOMBER.

I bought a couple pairs of their sun glasses a while back; I quickly fell in love with them. I have a hard time finding glasses that will fit properly, and both pair fit like a glove. I feel it’s very important to block out all side light in order to sight fish with any degree of success. That’s something that I couldn’t find with the bigger names, but these Bombers did just that. Lite weight, low cost and they float if dropped. How could I go wrong? Well after a recent trip I noticed they didn’t seem right, the fit was way off. Once I got home I immediately found the problem.

They had several small cracks above and below the lens. My first pair had done the same thing, but at first I thought it was me, maybe I had put some strain on them or tossed them in my truck. But now I was thinking that it was design or material flaw. So I grabbed my camera, took a few pictures and fired off an email.

My name is Bill Howard, I live in Tampa Florida. As a Malibu Kayaks Pro Staff member, I spend a good amount of time on the water fishing. I recently bought a pair of your sun glasses at Bass Pro Shops in Orlando. I haven’t had them for that long, about six months or so, and they have already started to come apart. This is the second pair that has done this. The first pair I thought was me, but now this new pair is doing the same thing. I’m pretty disappointed, as I really like them. They fit well, block out all light from the sides, which is important to me while sight fishing.

I have attached some pictures to show you where this pair has broken. They broke in three places, two on top and one on the bottom.

I hope you can make a judgment on why these broke and make some improvements. Once you do, I will buy another pair.

Bill Howard

I sent that at 7:30 pm. About 30 minutes later I received a reply:

Hello Bill,

I am so sorry to hear that both pairs of glasses broke on you. But the good news is that the problem has been fixed. We now use a new material that allows to frames to flex and it conforms to any size head or shape. So I have no problem sending you a new pair. It looks like the pair you have are the Nitro-Bombs. Our part number is NP102. But go to our website and check out all the new releases. I will send you ONE free pair of you choice. Please send me the item number of you choice along with your mailing address.

One again I am so sorry the mishap : )

Thanks Darlene

Are you kidding me? You think one of the big companies would do something like that? I think not. So after a three day fishing trip to the Big Bend area of Florida's West Coast, I was happy to say the least to see a package waiting for me. I was blown away when I opened it.

With so many different styles to choose from, I think you can find a pair to fit your life style, not to mention your budget. Give them a try.
