Won me over

First one I bought was actually for a gift for my dad. Never would have considered it for myself.

Got to the car and was reading the packaging. Piqued my interest seeing how many different ways you could use it. Opened his and tried it on a few different ways while in the Cabela’s parking lot. Went back in an bought 2 for myself.

I like wearing it as a balaclava in the morning to stay a bit warm and keeping the bugs out of my mouth. Also use this for snowblower use.

In the afternoon, I’ll wear it around my face in a single layer. It is thin enough to breathe through easily. It does fog my glasses at times but it is better than a sunburn.

If I am at a picnic or festival, I’ll wear it as a neck gaiter to protect my neck. You can easily dampen it with water for evaporative cooling effect.

These ways are just the start. I have had my first two for well over a year, they have been washed multiple times and are still fairly snug and in good shape. I now have probably 10 and even keep one in the glovebox for impulse hikes or fishing outings.

As I said, I wasn’t a believer and thought they were a lot of hype, until I tried it. Sometimes crow tastes pretty good.

Cheap sun protection

Awesome alternative to sunscreen, as it lasts as long as you wear it, and you dont have to re-apply it through the day. Dip it in the water, and it cools you off on a hot day. Plus, you look like you mean business when you wear one of these things. Only downside I've found is it can cause glasses to fog up if you cover your nose, haven't found a comfortable solution for that yet. Tight Lines!

Buff Headwear

Last summer in Louisiana, I constantly had to deal with sunburn. I noticed the most problematic areas where my ears and neck. Sunscreen was annoying and would generally wear off while on the water. It was then that I decided to purchase the Buff Original Headwear. I will say that this has definitly solved my sunburn issue. I have been pleased with how it works and its comfort. The headwear not only protects from the sun but also annoying insects, which can be found in abundance in the marshes of Louisiana. The only con to this product is that it adds a little extra warmth around the neck and face area. However, this is a small price to pay for the benefits it affords. I am pleased with the product and will purchase another when the time comes.

Whole Crew Wears 'em !

My family has been wearing Buff headwear on the water for quite some time. We use them for protection from sun but they also serve other purposes. After an extremely windy trip in the Keys, we learned that they make a darned good hat keeper and as soon as the wind died down our Buffs were worth their weight in gold for protection from no-see-ums. The folks fishing with us that did not have them were suffering for sure.
My son and I also have them in camouflage colors and use them when we hunt. They are far more comfortable than other face masks that we have used and their snug fit is great for bowhunters. They give just enough warmth to be comfortable on a cool morning in the woods as well.
I even have one I wear for work on cool days. It is enough to keep the wind off my neck and ears and fits well under my hard hat. Since my hair is normally shaved, it keeps my dome from suffering when the wind blows through the hard hat suspension system. I can swap it around and use it as a balaclava if I need full protection.
I have used a couple other brands and nave not been satisfied with the quality or the fit on them. The Original Buff has lasted well for my whole crew and we are very pleased with them.
