In the short

I'll probably have two blogs this month due to some boring drabble in this one.

It's still too cold to launch in or around St. Louis right now because of frozen waters and below 0 wind chills. I haven't even been able to wet a line for lack of a hole in the ice. Problem is, ice is too thick to get through, but too thin to walk on and drill through here.
I've also never been ice fishing and don't know how to recognize safe ice so walking on it is just an assumption at this point.

Several trips are planned for this year already. One being to Ocean Side, Mississippi in October. So right now I don't know that I'll be able to attend the Columbus day Boondoggle either. As much as I enjoyed last year, my goal is to get out and do something different all the time. Unless it's in Mississippi I am not sure that I would be able to go with this week long trip planned already.

Still waiting on word about the LOWA tournament in September as well. So March, April and May will have to suffice for now. Can't wait for this to start to come together.

My hope is that I will fill the freezer before winter next year because it's all empty of fish as of now!

Ciao for now!
