Multicolored Beach Ninjas

Protecting myself from the sun has become one of my top priorities while kayak fishing. Long gone are the days spent on the water with my shirt off trying to get a tan. I try to cover as much of my skin as possible because I hate putting on sunscreen, I’m pretty hairy and the sunscreen gets all matted in there and gross.

Long sleeve shirt, Buff, pants, hat, sunglasses, and gloves are all part of my typical fishing getup “outfit sounds too feminine”. All this sun protection awareness is all but nonexistent when I go to the beach. No way am I swimming or playing in the sand with the kids in full ninja attire that would look ridiculous…

What I think is ridiculous come to find out is all the rage in the Far East, enter the Facekini!

Looking like a group of fashion conscious burn victims or diehard fans of Kickass, beach goers in China can often be found frolicking on the beach in multicolor Facekinis. Having a golden tan in many countries like China is a sign that of an outdoor laborer or peasant.

So many Chinese dawn their Facekinis so they aren’t mistaken for a lower class citizen. This is what definitely comes to mind when looking out into a sea of Facekini wearing Chinese, wealthy upper class…

i see in these pics people that shouldnt show there faces .... grown woman with swimies on, her kid with a bathing suit over a t shirt and nasty women :-x
