While the conditions were near perfect this morning( light winds and a low tide), I guess someone forgot to tell the fish - they were nowhere to be found. I had a early shot at a tailing redfish, made a great cast, saw the fish turn and take it, pulled some drag… then nothing. The day wasn’t a total loss: On a quest to catch forty different species, Chris made a good dent in his “Bucket List”, anchored by this really nice trout seen below.
We did find a pothole full of ladyfish, which had me wishing I had brought the ultralight rig.
Chris is an awesome photographer in his own right (Click Here) . He will add some photos once he gets back home.
Once again, I meet and make another great friend through YakAngler!

I can't say thank you enough for reaching out to Chris. I'm kinda jealous that you got to meet him before me! lol Hard to believe we're cousins, except that we have so much in common. I knew both of you would land some fish and some beautiful photography!
