So team YakAngler and Kayak Fishing Radio are heading out to ICAST today.

"The International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, better known as ICAST, is the world’slargest sportfishing trade show annually hosting 7,000 members of the sportfishing industry representing 63 countries. ICAST is produced by the American Sportfishing Association (ASA), the sportfishing industry’s trade association, which looks out for the interests of the entire sportfishing community.

ICAST the premier showcase for the latest innovations in fishing gear, accessories and apparel and is the cornerstone of the sportfishing industry, helping to drive sportfishing companies’ product sales year round. ICAST 2011 will be held July 13-15, in the North Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nev."

There are hundreds of Exhibitors, tons of networking, a few happy hours, and tons of Fishing stuff to check out!

A few of the highlights are listed below.

Casting Area
The Casting Area is a 20'-by-110' carpeted area that provides exhibitors an opportunity to demonstrate to buyers how a rod casts.

Casting Pond
To get an idea of how a rod feels and reacts, you have to experience the cast. The ICAST Casting Pond gives you the opportunity to not only see the latest rods and reels, but also to test them in a shallow pool of water.

Lure Tank
Looking to see the latest lures in action? The ICAST Lure Tank lets attendees check out the newest lures while exhibitors demonstrate their features. From top water to jigs, the Lure Tank has it all.

Apparel Lounge
The Apparel Lounge showcases sponsoring exhibitors' latest apparel and merchandise in a prominent lounge space on the show floor. Not only will attendees be able to view the latest trends in clothing and accessories, but they will also be able to take a well-deserved break and catch up with peers in the lounge area.

I’ll have plenty more to talk about when I return, until then…Cheers
