I am terrible about the writing stuff... just am, no excuses; but I hear the folks that listen to Kayak Fishing Radio and if you listen to the podcast then you don't get to see what we posted in the chat room, links, etc.. So, we'll try to stay up on it with these recaps. Last night we started with a synopsis of the recent Cedar Key weekend, well it was really just a Saturday fishing trip for Greg Becker, his son, Robert, Bill "Heywood" Howard, the Clone & I. Check out Bill's article Kayak Fishing and Sons right here on YakAngler.com.

I briefly discussed some new products by Scotty, the rocket laucher and thier new competition for a camera mount. I haven't seen the camera mount availble yet, but I'm sure you'll see a review here when it is!

A reminder to all interested, The next BoonDoggle is President's Day weekend in February 2012. The 'core' dates are the 17th to the 20th. Some folks may arrive early or stay later but that's the general weekend. We will be staying at the Chokoloskee Island Park (CIP) and the info is in the Events Section. Don't wait to make a reservation, February is high season down there and you'll have trouble finding accomodations after November for sure!

To wrap it up, I opened a discussion on Kayak Seats. This is an area of kayak fishing I personally think could use some attention. Most of the seats you get standard with a kayak are minimal at best for comfort, especially the entry level, low price point kayaks. I'll agree there are some manufacturers who have put a great deal of thought into seats, i.e., Native, Jackson, Wilderness, and Diablo, but what about the yakangler that likes her/his piece of plastic but just want to upgrade? I'll start a thread on this over in the Kayak section.

That's it for now; thanks for your support here on YakAngler and by joining us on KayakFishingRadio!
