Review Bassassin Blurp

I have talked about them for a long time and many of you know that Bass Assassin brand lures are my favorite baits to use year round. Everything from Redfish to Mangrove Snapper will hit them and the action is like nothing I have fished.
Blurp is the latest thing to come out of the Bassassin camp and is in my opinion the best thing going right now in the world of soft plastics. They feature a special fish attractant scent release formula. Using new technology, they are able to add natural fish attractant scents to the Blurp lures that release upon contact with water. These highly concentrated scents attract fish, even in the toughest fishing conditions. I use the Blurp Sea shad like a fish finder and the Blurp shrimp like dead bait while working a flat because the longer the lure stays in the water, the stronger the scent becomes.

Unlike other scented soft baits the Blurp plastic will not turn into a rock if left on the hook and it can be used over and over again, I have caught as many as ten Redfish on one Blurp before having to change the bait. When I take someone on a Guided trip to the Indian River Lagoon you can bet that they will be using Blurp lures to find their trophy fish, In fact here is a picture of eight year old Curtis with his first ever redfish a nice 28" fish caught on a pearl colored Blurp sea shad.

His dad Troy booked me to him on his first Redfish. The fishing conditions on the Indian River really bad, 10-15knot winds, very dirty water but the scent of the Blurp did its job!!!  On his first cast of the day Curtis got the Redfish monkey off his back. I think I made Troy a new fan of the Blurp baits.

If you haven't used the Blurp line of lures you need to try them out ask for them at your local tackle stores. If they don't carry them have them order them for you.

10-15 knot winds? Looks calm as glass to me.
