Prototype Paddles & the Kayak Angler

When it comes to purchasing a product off of the shelf, many of us do not give much thought to what really goes into getting it onto the shelf in the first place. We at KayakFishingClassicS recently had the chance to be involved in the process of testing prototype paddles for Bending Branches.  I suggested that we also have some of the top kayak anglers on the Gulf Coast take a look. The good people at Bending Branches liked that idea, and we moved forward.

Is sponsorship for you?

Scarcely a day goes by without someone asking me about pro staffs and sponsorship. Like many other kayak anglers, I display stickers and logos on my kayak that are designed to garner attention, and they do. As a result, I get asked these questions quite frequently, and I am always happy to share my knowledge on the subject.

Kayak Fishing The Sound

When people around here think of Pine Island Sound they think of crystal clear flats, big fish and high powered inshore boats. When I think of the sound what comes to mind isn’t high powered outboards but instead I think of silently paddling up to a school of tailing redfish.

How To: Standing and Kayak Fishing

I’ve wanted to write an article on the topic of standing and fishing while kayak fishing for some time now.  I talk to so many people that either struggle with this task or have just never tried.

So many of us kayak anglers got into kayak fishing and started researching the sport and other nuts out there doing the same thing that we were.   Well it doesn’t take long after a few minutes of Google searches to come across Kayak Kevin Whitley.
