Review: Jackson Kayak “Cuda”

Jackson Kayak introduced the “Cuda” late last year as a follow-up to the popular “Coosa”.  The Cuda is a longer boat, ready for bigger water.  When my oldest son told me that he wanted to start kayak fishing – I was happy, because I’d have a new kayak fishing buddy.

New Hobie Horizontal Rod Holder

Last week I came across a post on Hobiecat.com showing a new kayak fishing accessory from Hobie. The horizontal rod holder kit allows you to mount your fishing rods securely on the side of your kayak. The soon to be released kit part# 72021060 officially holds 1 fishing rod but will allow for 2 rods “although not recommended by Hobie”.

Scotty Kayak Stabilizer 302

After talking to a friend about the Hobie Adventure Island, I got to wondering if any companies made after market stabilizers for any kayak.  Well after doing a bit of research I found that Scotty does infact make a universal stablizer kit that fits any canoe or kayak.   These easy to inflate inner bladders offer over 30 lbs. of extra buoyancy.
