January 6th, and it’s my first angling outing of the New Year. I hope it’s an indication of how my fishing is going to go for the rest of this year!
Last Thursday I got a txt from CoachJoe asking if I wanted to fish the infamous Fish Compound that Saturday. It had been raining all week and was in the mid 30’s, not the best weather to be out in your kayak fishing, but when your asked if you want to fish the Compound you just ask “what time are we meeting up”.
Although many of us would love to get out onto the water on kayak fishing on a daily basis, typically we might go 1 or twice a week… I was lucky enough this past weekend to hit the water three days consecutively. One of the days wasn’t really a weekend “There was an illness in the family that forced me to call in”.
