Pyranha Fusion

These days, when it comes to kayak fishing, it seems like we talk about hybrid kayaks more and more.  Usually we are referring to either the canoe/kayak hybrid or the paddle board/kayak hybrid.  One type of hybrid kayak that I don’t want to leave out, especially since they have been around longer than the other two hybrid types is the white water / recreational kayak.    Many of these Sit-in-Kayaks have a larger cockpit area and provide enough deck area for rod holders and other gear.

The Basics on How to Read Whitewater

The power of water can be intimidating, especially fast moving whitewater. Humans tend to fear what we don’t understand and when we first come to a swiftly flowing river it appears chaotic and scary because we don’t yet understand the flow of the currents. Once we begin to learn and recognize that currents are made up of certain staple features such as eddies, eddy lines, downstream Vs, rocks, waves and hydraulics pathways begin to open up amid the chaos. Even the scariest rapids are made up of these staple features. Recognizing the best path through a rapid boosts your confidence and helps you discern if your skills are up to running the line.

HitchSafe

I was refered to this product by a friend and local kayak retail store owner Doug Davis.   Doug is an avid kayaker and his store sells a multitude of kayaks and kayak accessories.   He, especially during his white water excursions, understands the importance of stashing your keys and money in a safe and secure location.   This is a great product for us kayak anglers that want to stash your keys and other personals while your out there on the water kayak fishing.
