It’s been long awaited and today I finally got the chance to try out one of Ocean Kayak’s newest and most sought after fishing kayaks, the Ultra 4.7. Thanks once again to Jory Pearson from Florida Paddle Sports in Cape Coral, FL, I was able to get my hands on one of these hard to find boats and enjoy a great day of fishing out in Pine Island.
If you've looked at fishing kayaks you already know there are several manufacturers offering many shapes, sizes and features to make your fishing experience a good one. With differing opinions on which yak is the most functional it's really difficult to know which one is the best fit for you. After trying a few different models I knew the Hobie Outback was destined to be my ride.
Malibu Kayaks has introduced a new kayak fishing model to their fishing series kayaks. Malibu Kayaks is introducing the new Stealth 9 in 2011. The Stealth 9 is built off of the Malibu Kayaks Mini-X platform but with many of the attributes of the Stealth series of fishing kayaks. The Mini-X has been one of Malibu Kayak’s best selling boat so it seems pretty ingenious to incorporate the many fishing features of the Stealth series to this kayak.
With the Horizon sport fishing kayaks, the difference is in the details. they thought of pretty much everything for anglers to enjoy their time chasing trophy fish, from extra-stable hull designs to sealed rod holders and integrated tackle boxes.
