YakAttack makes a full line of products that give you options on how you rig your kayak from day to day. I was given the YakAttack “Mighty Mount” to review, and it is now an essential part of my kayak angling arsenal.

I have had the opportunity to use many different monofilament, fluorocarbon, and braided fishing lines. I use each type of line for their specific characteristics: mono when I want some stretch; fluoro for the “sink” and ability to be “invisible” in water; and braid for its sensitivity, strength, and durability. For the longest time I used “PowerPro” braid, then tried “Vicious” braid. I loved them both, but I have found the braid that for me now sets the standard - PowerPro’s new “Super 8 Slick”.

Cruising through the forum last night on YakAngler.com I read through a topic titled “What length stake out pole”.  There are some great post in there and some great products mentioned, a few that we have done articles on in the past.

During my recent visit to FL, I made a trip to Handler Fishing Supply where one of YakAngler’s kayak fishing pro-staffers works.  Chuck (AKA Redfish Chuck) was showing me this new wire product on the market that doesn’t kink, and actually stretches.
