YakAttack makes a full line of products that give you options on how you rig your kayak from day to day. I was given the YakAttack “Mighty Mount” to review, and it is now an essential part of my kayak angling arsenal.
With the hustle of the holidays coming to an end and 2012 right round the corner, I took a step back to reflect on what a great year 2011 was for the YakAngler Nation. With many kayak fishing websites being five to ten or more years old, YakAngler is definitely the new kid on the block. October 19, 2011 marked our two-year anniversary. In that short time we have seen our community of active users double, and in 2011 we reached over 160,000 unique visitors.
I love to fish! I was lucky as a young child that my grandfather took the time to take me out and help me learn about the great sport we all love. As a father the most fun I have on the water is seeing my children enjoy the outdoors and spending time teaching them to fish. I also run fishing clinics at the school were I teach during the summer and try to introduce as many people as I can to my passion.
Having a hard time finding that perfect gift for the kayak fisherman in your family? With Christmas quickly approaching, we are happy to release our first annual “Christmas Wish List”. Get some great gift ideas from like minded anglers and outdoorsmen.
As you have recently read here on YakAngler.com, four U.S. kayak anglers participated in the Hobie Kayak Fishing World Championships held in Australia. We here at YakAngler are so pleased to be part of this kayak fishing sport that is taking not only a national stage but playing in an international arena. I recieved this press release from a Hobie spokesperson earlier today and I just had to share. I hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
After a great season of kayak fishing the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour will host its final regular season event in Ruskin, Florida. You've seen many of the tournament recaps here on YakAngler and we are looking forward to seeing the tournmament results for this final event. This is a great program that is helping to grow the sport of kayak fishing in a huge way and we are happy to be able to spread the word with other kayak anglers.
Cruising through the forum last night on YakAngler.com I read through a topic titled “What length stake out pole”. There are some great post in there and some great products mentioned, a few that we have done articles on in the past.
During my recent visit to FL, I made a trip to Handler Fishing Supply where one of YakAngler’s kayak fishing pro-staffers works. Chuck (AKA Redfish Chuck) was showing me this new wire product on the market that doesn’t kink, and actually stretches.
