Ocean Kayaks New Tetra Line

Ocean Kayak launches it's newest model kayak this month, the Tetra 10 and 12. The Tetra looks to be a kayak that's at home cruising the lakes or fishing the beach. Ocean Kayak said they were going for a clean comfortable and stable ride. This looks like it could be a great kayak fishing platform! Sea Island Sport - Chesapeake Light Craft

My stepfather recently returned home from a trip to Baltimore bringing the Chesapeake Light Craft catalog home for me. Now I have to admit that when I first saw this catalog I thought that the concept of building my own boat was very cool but that it probably wouldn’t work out for me since most of these kayaks are Sit-in-Kayaks (SinKS) made more for touring than for fishing. That was before I turned the page and came across the Sea Island Sport! This is a do-it-yourself Sit-on-Top kayak that we YakAnglers can utilize while kayak fishing.

Old Town Pack Angler

Typically on this site when we talk about kayak fishing boats we are usually discussing Sit-On-Top kayaks that are great for off shore fishing due to the scupper holes that allow water to drain with out any self bailing. We do occasionally discuss hybrid models such as the Native Ultimate but one model that we don't really ever talk about is the solo canoe. These boats have lots of great attributes that make them great for river and fly fishing.
