Well, unless you’ve been living under a rock, or haven’t visited YakAngler.com or KayakFishingRadio, you should have heard about the “Chokoloskee Boondoggle”.  

For many of us YakAnglers, this is the time of year when we begin to feed this kayak fishing addiction by attending boat shows, Googling anything related to the sport, and preparing for local and regional tournaments.  I wanted to take a moment to share the upcoming schedule for the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour.

As fellow YakAngler's you probably realize how important a good pair of shoes are.  While kayak fishing we often get in and out of our kayaks to fish eddys, walk up on the banks, or just loading and unloading our kayaks.

Starting January1st of 2011 the IGFA began accepting applications for new All-Tackle Length Records.  This catch photo and release format is perfectly suited for us kayak anglers and hopefully we will see kayak fishing angler's leading in the records for the length category.

I’ve wanted to write an article on the topic of standing and fishing while kayak fishing for some time now.  I talk to so many people that either struggle with this task or have just never tried.

YakAngler got their first look at the new Malibu X-Factor fishing kayak at this year's ICAST. This kayak is sharp, the new features included on this model really look like Malibu has listened to the kayak fishing community, and I’m excited to get my hands on one.
