IFA Kayak Fishing Championship Results

The 2011 IFA Kayak Fishing Tour finale is in the books. Kayak anglers from around the country battled it out in Chalmette Louisiana for a chance at being the 2011 IFA Kayak Fishing Tournament Champion. After two days of fishing Justin Carter emerged the victor with a combined total 105 inches winning him the championship and the 2011 Angler Of The Year.

Nu Frontier Tour Stops In Frankfort KY

If you haven’t heard already Blake and Deanna Young of NuCanoe hit the road over a month ago, turning the country with two of their newest kayaks the Frontier 12. River Bassin Trail Roanoke Wrap up

Hurricane Lee couldn’t put a damper on the Grand Finally of the 2011 River Bassin Tournament Trail.  Fishing was tough but the kayak anglers prevailed in the final stop of the 2011 season.  Read the following press release by Drew Gregory for all the tournament details.

Roger Bump blasts the completion in the second event of the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour "Florida East Coast Division".  Fishing the St. Johns River, Bump targeted the deep channel and rock piles in the area.  Bump not only won the event but won the $100 Berkley GULP Big Redfish Award and PENN Reel Award for winning and fishing the event with a PENN Reel.  For all the details of the Titusville, Florida event check out the below press release.

Walker Wins IFA Kayak Event In Venice

Collins Wins IFA Kayak Event At Rockport

Kelly Phillips Wins IFA Kayak Championship

Kelly Phillips, of Lakeland, Fla., led wire-to-wire, measuring four fish totaling a combined 125 inches in length to win the first-ever championship tournament for the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour Presented by Hobie on November 13. The event, contested in and around Orange Beach, Ala., which operated out of the Cobalt Restaurant, featured a field of qualifying anglers from each of the six divisions of the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour looking to catch and document the largest redfish and speckled sea trout each day of the two-day catch-photograph-and-release event. Phillips' combined aggregate score gave him a 22.5-inch margin of victory, bringing him the first championship title for the first-year tour.

IFA Hits The Gulf

Anglers from across the Gulf Coast and surrounding regions will converge on Panama City Beach, Fla., for the second Gulf Coast Division regular-season event for both the IFA Redfish Tour Presented by Cabela's and the IFA Kayak Fishing Tour Presented by Hobie Fishing. Saturday's IFA Redfish Tour event, which will launch from St. Andrews Marina, and Sunday's IFA Kayak Fishing Tour, are the second of three regular-season tournaments for the Gulf Coast Division, one of six divisions of IFA Tour events running from the Carolinas to Texas.
